20: Games Politicians Should Play
In cooperation with IIASA - International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis and the Centre for Systems Solutions
Many policy failures result from inadequate appreciation of the diversity of ways decisions are made at all levels of society. A variety of new gaming methodologies have emerged to fill this gap, allowing policy makers to analyse how problems emerge in complex systems and where points of policy intervention may lie. In this session participants will be embedded in a gaming environment – not only will they learn about gaming applications in policy and decision making but they will also directly experience how games can help to tackle complex social and ecological problems.
