23: University and Family – Not a Contradiction?

Family-friendly conditions make a significant contribution to the academic success of students taking care of children and render universities attractive for aspiring academics. Many universities have recognised this and started to develop supportive measures. Which conditions are necessary? What has to change to make the sentence “family and university are not mutually exclusive” true?
