The organisation Hemayat was founded in 1995 and has established itself in Vienna as the centre for interpreted medical, psychological and psycho-therapeutic care of torture and war survivors. In 2014, the organisation took care of 661 people from 36 countries. Currently, 276 people are waiting for a place.
