 Univ.-Prof. Dr. Peter Filzmaier, geboren 1967 in Wien, ist im Rahmen des internationalen und interuniversitären Netzwerks Politische Kommunikation (netPOL) Leiter der Plattform Politische Kommunikation der Donau-Universität Krems und hat ebenda seit 2006 den Lehrstuhl für Demokratiestudien und Politikforschung inne. Seit 2007 ist er geschäftsführender Gesellschafter des Instituts für Strategieanalysen (ISA) in Wien, seit 2010 auch Professor für Politische Kommunikation an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, sowie zudem Politikanalytiker des Österreichischen Rundfunks (ORF) und Kolumnist und Gastkommentator in Der Standard (2003 bis 2008), den Bundesländerzeitungen (2008 bis 2015) sowie der Kronen Zeitung (seit 2015).
