Flora Geißelbrecht is an Austrian composer and performer. From 2012-2017, she completed the Bachelors of Composition and Music Theory with Prof. Gerd Kühr, Composition and Music Theory Education as well as Viola with Prof. Christian Euler, all at KUG Graz. Since Oktober 2017, she is in her Master of Viola, specializing on contemporary music with Prof. Julia Purgina at MUK Vienna. In 2014, she won the commission of the Community of Lower Austrian Composers (INÖK) and the Academia Allegro Vivo. The competition was dedicated to the commemorative year 1914 and Bertha von Suttner, Austrian fighter for peace.In 2017, she was finalist and recognition award winner of the Austrian Film Music Competition, in composition duo with Tahir Ibishov, in 2019 she was winner of the Fidelio competition in the category "Creation".Flora Geißelbrecht also is part of the Imaginary Folk Trio "Alpine Dweller" as a violist, harpist and singer. |
