Reading and Performance: “FIFA – Mafia?”
The literary theorist Klaus Zeyringer will discuss legal aspects from his recent publication "Fußball. Eine Kulturgeschichte". The performance-duo Thomas Lackner and Josef Schmiderer accompanies him.
Football is more than sport. Football has always fired people’s imaginations. The sport unites people from all different walks of life, and thus it was always more than just running after a ball. Football has many economic and legal aspects: just one of these is the question of how the biggest sports organisation in the world can overrule national law in favour of lucrative business dealings.
