 Michelle Weston has recently joined the ECC Foundation as CEO. This is a newly established organisation based in London and operating primarily in the UK to tackle inequality. She has worked in the financial sector for over 25 years. Prior to taking her current role, she was a European executive with S&P Global Ratings, a division of S & P Global (NYSE:SPGI), that provides independent credit ratings and assessments on government, corporate, financial sector and structured finance entities and securities. Most recently she led their efforts to develop globally in new client segments, markets and new credit products. Prior to this, she was the General Manager and Head of S&P’s Structured Finance Ratings group in EMEA. Her team evaluated the creditworthiness of both new and existing Structured Finance transactions across multiple asset classes and security types. Michelle was also a member of various S&P regulatory and quality boards. Before joining S & P in 2001, Michelle began her career at two leading UK financial institutions. At Nationwide Building Society, she was a Lending Manager, focusing initially on real estate loans and later on, project-based Private Finance Initiatives (PFI). At Lloyds Bank, she rotated through traditional banking branch retail roles and lending roles to corporate and personal borrowers.
