Opening of the Financial Market Symposium
Free Market, Unfree Thought: The boundary-breaking force of free financial markets continues to be tamed with a rigid system of taboos. But, in the age of disruption, we must set ourselves the challenge of a no-holds-barred assessment of the dogmas and routines we have so far accepted without question (lecture and discussion).
The lecture will be followed by Jean-Claude Trichet’s reflections on the tension between “Liberty and Security” in international financial markets (keynote and discussion).
