Recital “Frank Martin and Franz Schubert” and Lecture “Der Himmel über Meran”

The baritone Martin Achrainer interprets the “Monologues from Jedermann” of Frank Martin and the following songs composed by Franz Schubert: “The Skipper”, “The Dwarf”, “Song to the Evening Glow”, “The Erl King”. The new book by Joseph Zoderer comprises six stories united by one element: The interest in people that are unable to cope with their lives, pictures of failure and of the passion opposing the failure. Using a clear and at the same time extremely strong language, Joseph Zoderer tells stories of total actuality. For his work international awards have been granted: In 2001 he received the gift of honor of the German Schiller foundation, in 2003 the Hermann Lenz Award and in 2005 the Walther von der Vogelweide Award.
