Partner Session 04: The Limits of the Welfare State – Charity as a Solution

-
Hotel Böglerhof
Partner /
in deutscher Sprache

The limits of financing the welfare state are being debated everywhere. Apparent problems can also be seen as challenges and positive trends can be identified: charities. They are contributing increasingly more to tackling the large challenges in the areas of welfare, health, education, the environment and culture. What is still missing is increased funding of this potential by the state without giving up responsibility to the private sector. How does a cooperation between state institutions and charitable organisations to solve problems in a socially just way look like?
