Partner Session 06: The Helping Hand – Changing Roles of Health Professionals in a Modern Healthcare System
Organised by the Alpbach Summer School on Healthcare and Social Systems in Transition
Epidemiological and societal developments do not only necessitate organisational changes in the health system, but also call for adapted and new roles for those professionals working in it. What do I need to do today as a general practitioner, nurse, social worker or therapist in order to be able to answer adequately to the needs of the people? Do we need new professions or other forms of organisation? Together with representatives from different professions we will discuss these topics in small groups and in plenary and present innovative solutions.
