Promoting Stability in Wider Europe: The Role of the EU and the OSCE

-
Elisabeth-Herz-Kremenak-Saal
Plenary /
in englischer Sprache

Promoting stability, democracy and peace are shared values and interests of the EU and the OSCE. Do the two organisations cooperate successfully in achieving these goals when we look at the direct neighbourhood of the EU? Which role could they play in solving the Ukraine crisis? How could relations with Russia be improved in a lasting manner? Where, on the other hand, are best practice examples in peacemaking and democracy promotion in the Balkans region and which challenges are yet to be resolved?
