04: European security and the Mediterranean: A simulation
In cooperation with INSS - Institute for National Security Studies Israel
With the recent adoption of Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO), the EU has created a new tool to enhance its security. While the Middle East and the Mediterranean have an impact on Europe’s security, the EU’s neighbours have not been part of the process creating PESCO. NATO, however, has an ongoing Mediterranean dialogue with the Southern neighbours. Join us for an interactive simulation exploring how security issues in the Mediterranean could be negotiated with representatives from the region, NATO and the EU!
N.B.: In addition to experts giving different geopolitical perspectives, this simulation will include around 20 participants who will be assigned roles.
