This seminar will explore major aspects of our contemporary global economic battleground. We will explore the state of the global economy today, analyse the geopolitical landscape and its evolution since the end of World War II and focus on the efficacy and track record of various solutions to achieve sustainable development. Furthermore the seminar focuses on the profound implications of the digital revolution and questions the respective roles of the state versus markets in economic affairs.

PhD Aniket SHAH

 Aniket Shah is the Head of Sustainable Investing at Oppenheimer Funds. In this role, he is responsible for integrating Environmental, Social and Governance investment principles throughout the firm’s investment strategies. From 2014-2017, Aniket was the Program Leader of the Financing for Sustainable Development Initiative at the UN SDSN. From 2011-2014, Aniket was an investment specialist and strategist at Investec Asset Management, a leading emerging market investment firm based in London and Cape Town. Aniket is a graduate of Yale University and is completing his doctorate at the University of Oxford’s Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Amnesty International USA.
