22: Who are You? Spoken Word Poetry: How to Express Yourself in Front of People

-
Hauptschule

in englischer Sprache

Each person is a unique individual. But how can we be confident enough to reveal who we are through language and movement? Spoken word is a performance art that focuses on the aesthetics of word play such as intonation and voice inflection. This term includes any kind of poetry recited aloud, including poetry slams, jazz poetry, and hip-hop, and can include prose monologues. It is also a form of poetry, which is written ‘from the heart’ and reflects our personalities. Expressing your personality in front of people, communicating your ideas, might be a challenge for some but with great rewards. Through dynamic exercises and play the participants will work with each other to create a safe environment and develop awareness, confidence and practical skills in writing and presentation in front of people.
