03: The Genetics of Inequality

-
Hauptschule
Seminar /
in englischer Sprache

How do our genes change our lives, and how do our lives change our genes? Genetic inequality has been linked to the causes of disease, social status, racial differences, etc., sometimes with devastating consequences. But we may be facing even greater problems when genetic inequality becomes a commercial commodity, a technological product that can be purchased: life as an App store. Among other questions, this seminar will investigate how access to genetic intervention is going to be regulated. Should genetic enhancements be available in the same way as gene therapy?
