13: The Dilemma of Freedom and Equality

-
Hauptschule
Seminar /
in englischer Sprache

On the seventieth incarnation of the European Forum Alpbach, this seminar will consider Karl Popper’s philosophy of critical rationalism, which has influenced the seminar programme for decades. In so doing, Popper’s political philosophy will also be confronted with Friedrich Hayek’s liberal-conservative ideas, who equally influenced the academic discussions at the European Forum Alpbach. The aim of the seminar is to examine the significance of both philosophers for today.
