in deutscher Sprache

Resource conflict can lead to innovation in both societies and technology development, as has been indicated by the successful creation of a broad range of environmental and energy technologies. There are ongoing conflicts for scarce resources on both global and local levels. Growing world population and increasing prosperity will lead to enhanced competition for resources and the potential for conflict may even include armed hostilities. Therefore, it will be critical to increase resource efficiency through innovative technology to guarantee sustainable developments on a national and global level.
