International experts consider evidence-based medicine to have great reform potential. Many countries have already integrated its principles into their healthcare systems. Improving healthcare quality is an important aspect of Austria’s healthcare reform. Nevertheless, people are concerned about and opposed to the introduction of evidence-based medicine. In this breakout session we want to discuss and identify ways for Austria to promote the indispensable implementation of evidence-based medicine and reduce opposition.
